· Group activity
Explore different Podcasts:
Podcasts can be used as curriculum enhancements, to promote programs and activities, to research, share school news, professional development, and to share archived lessons (classroom recordings).

10:00 AM - 10:15 AM BREAK

· Set up for Independent Work (10:15 – 11:30 a.m.)
Participants will brainstorm and create a script with their group (2-3 People to a group) to be performed as a Podcast after lunch
Use sample outline and rubric (located in your folder) (http://oitqueens.wikispaces,com).
· Include ISTE and ELA standards
· No more than 5 minutes total in length
· Upload script to VoiceThread

4. Public Service Announcement
5. Talk Show

· Modeling/Step-by-step /ITS directed learning (11:30 – 12:00 p.m.) Go over the step-by-step procedures of Audacity (for PC users) or Garage Band (for MAC users)
