Tools for Today

8:30 am - 8:45 am - Welcome with Michael Swirsky
  • Email Increase - will be increased to 75 megabits! Be sure to clean out your email anyway. If you're unsure of how much space you have, call the help desk.
  • Best Way to Archive - MAC - Use Entourage (similar to Outlook) to drag your emails; PC - only administrators have full client so makefolders on your desktop. Another workaround - make a gmail account and forward to that account.

8:45 am - 9:15 am - Twitter.pngwith Ellen Phillips - #OETQ Twitter
  • Twitter allows you gather information. Who You Follow - YOU - Who Follow You
  • Twitter is a free social networking site. Unlike a blog, you are restricted to 140 characters including spaces, etc. Be concise. It's also called "micro-blogging". You can use it from your computer or your cell phone. Be careful about using your cell phone, however. You may get tweets at 4am!
  • Use your real name so you can build a professional network.
  • Do not select "Inside Scope" to avoid spam.
  • Be sure to select "Protect my tweets" so only approved viewers will be able to see your tweets.
  • See the embedded presentation below.
